The Lampasas County Courthouse was constructed in 1883 and is the work of noted Waco architect W. C. Dodson. From the escapades of the Horrell brothers outlaw gang to the commercial success of the mineral springs and bathhouses after the arrival of the railroad line from Galveston in 1882—Lampasas Texas had a rich and diverse early history.
