Sometimes I write about travel and eclectic destinations in Texas. This site is a collection of interesting destinations. What makes a destination interesting? For starters it might have a little history. Attractions that stand the test of time tend to be interesting on multiple levels. They become part of the history and culture of a place, and so they are also engaging on multiple levels. Old isn’t the single criteria for interesting though. People and things they do can be interesting either because of their culture and heritage or just for what they do and say. Natural beauty is something I seek out. I’ve lived far too much of my adult life in the asphalt jungle of big cities, and I enjoy an opportunity to get away from the noise and smell and bustle of the metropolis. Locations depicted are based on my own travels. Most places described are a days commute or less from North Texas. This is because I know the area well and can find places off the radar of bigger travel Web sites. If your interested in contributing or have an attraction you would like me to write about, please use the form below to leave a comment. I like to know what you think. Leave a comment and I’ll be glad to hear your opinion on subjects related to road tripping.
Thanks
